Myotherapy in traralgon

Myo", prefix of Greek origin, means muscle and "therapy", treatment. Myotherapy is therefore the treatment of the muscles .

This approach is particularly effective in relieving certain areas of chronic stress such as the neck, shoulders or lower back. Some maneuvers may be similar to those used in traditional massage except that myotherapy movements are faster. Another distinction lies in the fact that the pressures exerted are deeper and concentrated on the areas of tension and pain.

When there is chronic tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (painful and stiff tissue bands) in muscles, tendons and ligaments. The massage works on the release of the adhesions in order to reduce the pain and to favor the return to a normal movement, it also comes to release the muscles of the tensions and to restore a good blood circulation where there is congestion.

Why such good results?

The muscle (s) on which a myotherapy work has been done, will regain their flexibility and their original length. As a result, they stop pulling on the tendons, allowing the inflammation, and at the same time the pain, to disappear.

Myotherapy is effective for the problems of:

  • bursitis
  • capsulitis
  • Sciatic nerve
  • Numbness
  • tendonitis
  • Epicondylitis
  • Sprain
  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Migraine or headache
  • ETC

Latrobe Massage Group is committed to providing you the best Myotherapy treatment in Traralgon.
